چکیده

First part of review Micellar liquid chromatography is devoted to fundamentals and problems of retention modeling and optimization of separation. The 117 literature references have been critically analyzed. The known conceptual, mechanistic and empirical retention models are reviewed, classified and discussed. The methodologies of optimization of separation in high-performance liquid chromatography and micellar liquid chromatography are the subjects of much study. About 15 elementary and global resolution criteria are collected and tabulated with the special attention of their application for optimization of separation in micellar liquid chromatography.

Separation of Sedative – Hypnotic Drugs with Mixed Micellar Liquid Chromatography

Separation of ten sedative- hypnotic drugs was performed by RP-HPLC using mixed micellar mobile phase. Effect of temperature, type and amount of organic modifier in mobile phase on efficiency (N) and asymmetry factor (B/A) showed that, the appropriate conditions for a good separation were 35°C and 7% (V/V) butanol in mobile phase.  Variations of selectivity factor versus butanol concent...

Separation of Biojenic Amines Using Dansyl Cloride Derivatization and Mixed Micellar Liquid Chromatography

Separation of some biogenic amines via RP-HPLC using mixed micellar mobile phase was investigated. The compounds were derivatized before hand by dansyl chloride as a chromophoric reagent. Appropriate conditions for separation, were determined by studying factors such as temperature, type and percentage of organic modifier, concentration of surfactants (SDS and Brij-35) and the pH of the mob...

Retention modeling and resolution optimization for a group of N-phenylpyrazole derivatives in micellar electrokinetic chromatography using empirical and physicochemical models.

The optimization of the separation resolution for a group of N-phenylpyrazole derivatives in micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) as a function of the separation buffer composition (surfactant and organic modifier concentration) has been performed. In order to achieve our purpose, the first step has been the prediction of the migration times of the electroosmotic flow (t(0)) and micell...

A Study on Retention of a Series of Aromatic Compounds in Mixed Micellar Liquid Chromatography Using Linear Solvation Energy Relationship (LSER)

The effect of SDS (0.03-0.07 M) and Brij-35(0-0.003 M) concentrations and temperature on retention parameters of 30 solutes in micellar reversed- phase liquid chromatography systems were studied using solvation parameter model. The system constants were determined by multiple linear regression analysis from experimental values of the retention factors with known descriptors by computer usin...
